5 Most Common Atheist Stereotypes
1: Atheists don't believe in anything
The shitty-ass explanation:Atheists don't believe in God, so if God is everything, they don't believe in nothing.
The Angry Atheist response:
Well, as a matter of fact, we do believe in a lot of different things. For example, we believe that unless something is scientifically proven, you can call it bullshit (most of the time, the paradox being, ironically, "There's No God" theory*). We believe that Darwin was a great man who created one of the most ground-breaking theories that have been scientifically proven since the heliocentric theory. We also believe that this stereotype is bullshit. Fair enough? Next.
2: (Young) Atheists have no morals
The shitty-ass explanation:This stereotype comes from the statement that only religion can teach us morals, and if young atheists were not taught religion, then where they take their morals from?
The Angry Atheist response:
I have my morals up and running, maybe that's why I'm not killing my friends because they don't like playing Quake 3 Arena. My morals were passed on me by the culture I was born in. It's kind of evolution thing. We evolve, and our morals evolve with us. Besides, a friend of mine has written a whole article about this stereotype on That Dumb Atheist Guy.
3: Atheists believe in devil
The shitty-ass explanation:There is none. Some people just think that if you don't believe in God - their God - you automatically start believing in devil.
The Angry Atheist response:
I see a flaw there: Christian also, in a way, believe in devil. You can't use words "believe" and "worship" as synonyms, this simply doesn't compute. Atheists also don't worship devil, simply because atheists stay away from anything that's called religion.
4: All atheists are evil
Now that's just plain stupid!
5: All atheists are science geeks
The shitty-ass explanation:Well, on the association map, a lot of people draw a line between science and atheism.
The Angry Atheist response:
That's utter bullshit. Many atheists are artists, book writers, film makers, or simply regular folk. There are also scientists who are religious and want to conduct their research to prove God in a scientific way. There's no way people can label atheists as science geeks. It's almost like labelling all Muslims as terrorists, for fuck sake!

* Well, here things get complicated, because there isn't much evidence that God doesn't exist either. It's a shitload compared to Christians' "evidence", but only because their evidence is less scientific (see the banana example, hilarious). So, for the God Doesn't Exist theory, "we believe that unless there is sufficient scientific evidence for a theory such as the existence of God, we can call it bullshit." should do better.

Well, that means we can call the theory that there is no God bullshit. But we don't - I think a better explanation would be:
"For example, we believe that unless there is sufficient scientific evidence for a theory such as the existence of God, we can call it bullshit."
That means we can call the theory of God's existence bullshit, and the theory of the lack of God's existence "probably correct."
Unless I missed your point in that statement....
